Hexton

Circular walk from Hexton, following the John Bunyan Trail, via Lilley and Barton-Le-Clay. Much of the walk is in open countryside with great views. No stiles, a few minor hills. We pass Barton Hills Nature Reserve with Dartmoor ponies acting as lawn mowers.

Please bring packed lunch. Water will be needed if the weather is very warm as there isn't a lot of shade.

Meet at the Raven pub in Hexton, there is a reasonable amount of street parking there. We should be able to have a drink there at the end or at the Lavender Tea Room (if it is open).

On the day of the walk please check on the website or app that the walk is still taking place, If I've had to cancel I may not be at the starting point to tell you. Please try to be at the starting point a few minutes before the starting time. If you know you will be late please phone me ASAP and check if I am willing or able to wait for you.
