Hatfield Broad Oak
Meet at the Church entrance to Hatfield Broad Oak Church. We follow the peaceful Princey Brook valley with natural lakes and water birds, to the National Trust Hatfield Forest. Here we head for the Shell House and the Forest Cafe with lakeside views. Walking through the Forest we return through farmland and woods to the start point. This area is not hilly but there will be some mud so poles advisable. Bring a picnic.
Parking details - Entering the village of Hatfield Broad Oak on Feathers Hill, just before the road turns sharply right into the main village (and before The Cock Inn), look out for a drive leading to an unsigned car park. This car park serves the church so may be full - but if not, walk through the church yard to meet the group at the church gate. If it is full or you drive past it, carry on through the village looking for residential roads on the right where you can park and walk easily back to the Church
