Capital Ring Sections 10&11 - South Kenton to Highgate

Starting at South Kenton Station we begin the walk through the heart of John Betjeman’s Metroland suburbs and make our way through wooded paths and hills with great views over London. The usual mix of pavement and green spaces found all along the Capital Ring. 
No stiles but quite a few roads to cross which all have crossings or pedestrian refuges. Toilets are mostly towards the end of the walk but may also be found at Preston Road tube station which we will walk past early in the walk.
It might be muddy in places if there has been rain.

For those who wish to do only part of the walk there are plenty of drop off points and good public transport links along the entire route.

There are shops along the route but I recommend bringing a packed lunch. We will stop for lunch around the Welsh Harp Reservoir.
