Batford, Peters Green and Mackerye End

9.5 mile circular walk from Batford, through Peter's Green and Mackerye End. One or two minor inclines otherwise flat. No stiles. Walking through woodland (would be full of blue bells at the right time of year) and open countryside. Some road walking in the afternoon.

Lunch at the Bright Star pub at Peter's Green, landlord is happy to let us eat our packed lunch in the garden as long as we buy a drink (note the pub does not serve food).

Free parking at start in Marquis Lane Car Park. It is small but there is parking on the streets around.

There is a pub at the end Amble Inn (there will be a test to see if you determine the origin of the name). Might be noisy if there is a sports fixture on the big TV's.
