Aldbury and Pitstone circular walk
Starting from Tring station, this 8.5m circular walk explores the beautiful Chiltern hills, combining open ridgetop views, rolling farmland, ancient woodland and the picturesque village of Aldbury. The route follows well-maintained paths taking in Pitstone Hill, sections of the Ridgeway and the Bridgewater monument. We near the end of the walk in the village of Aldbury where we may stop at the Greyhound Pub for a drink if people wish to. Please note that the walk involves a few steady climbs, but with panoramic views. Please bring refreshments, suitable footwear and clothing appropriate for the weather.
NB: On the day of the walk, please check on the website or app that the walk is still taking place. if the leader has had to cancel, s/he may not be at the starting point to tell you.
Late arrivals
Please try to be at the starting point a few minutes before the starting time. If you know you'll be late, phone the leader ASAP and check s/he is willing to wait for you.
